Maria Dinello

Hi! I’m Maria Di Nello and I am a senior at Benedictine University getting my Bachelors in Nutrition and Wellness. Any of my friends could tell you that living a healthy lifestyle and working out are the things that I find most rewarding and the things I love spending my time doing. In High school I didn’t do any sports but I was a gym rat. I was obsessed with running and training for half marathons which typically consisted of running 3-4 days per week and other cardio. I absolutely loved the feeling I would get after a long run. It was a sense of accomplishment and pride to know that I could push my body to go so far.
Once college started my interest in running began to go away and I began to gear myself towards other things in the gym. I met a girl Lissy who introduced me to weight training and I instantly fell in love. Within a few months I saw a transformation in not only my body, but the way I felt as well. Soon afterwards, I began looking into competing to see how much farther I could really push myself. It was at this point that I decided to compete in my first bodybuilding competition…Well that competition has come and go, and I can say I’ve gotten bit by the competition bug and am ready to do even more shows in the months to come. My goal is to compete in more NPC shows in May to qualify for Jr. Nationals.
